I have suffered from a chronic toenail fungus infection on my big toe since I was 7 years old. Over the past 20+ years, I have tried every prescription and over-the-counter medication available and I have had my toenail removed numerous times but nothing worked. I started with foot problems about a year ago. I saw many doctors with no solutions. They all quickly diagnosed plantar fasciitis. So I did a search online for doctors specializing in plantar fasciitis and found Dr Hendizadeh. He examined my feet and told me that it was not plantar fasciitis. He then ordered and conducted a number of tests to determine the cause of my pain. He is the only doctor who was willing to do extra testing to rule out any ailments. I have suffered from a bunion for many years and visits to podiatrists always ended with me taking no action. When I couldn't stand the pain any longer, I wanted to find an excellent podiatrist to advise me. I did a Google search and came across the website for Associated Podiatrists. I was immediately impressed with the website and how it was put together. It has so much good information on it, including videos, before and after photos, and detailed information on the doctors and their credentials. I was drawn to Dr Hendizadeh because of the videos he was featured in on the website and because I noticed that he is the Vice President of the Fairfield County Podiatric Medical Association which indicated to me that he stays current with new podiatric research and treatments and has a good following. So I immediately made an appointment to see him. I was very impressed with the office operation - the staff was tremendous and extremely well organized. When I finally met Dr Hendizadeh we just clicked. I had a good feeling about him as a human being and a doctor. He was extremely thorough and explained the procedure in a way I could understand. He showed me before and after x-rays of bunion surgeries he has done. Over the years, whenever I have spoken to anyone about bunion surgery, I have seen people grimace and complain bitterly about the pain, but Dr Hendizadeh inspired so much confidence in me that I had the surgery within a week!
Dr Hendizadeh's post-op follow up was excellent - he called me after I got home from surgery and later again that day to check in. It is comforting to know that your doctor really cares. He has a lot of knowledge and expertise and I was impressed that my post-op office visits were as good as the pre-op visits. This is foot care at a very high level with a staff that really cares. I was also impressed with Surgical Care Affiliates in Bridgeport where I had the surgery - the people there were great.
It has been 7 weeks since my surgery - the healing is excellent and I am almost back in real shoes. I definitely had more pain from the bunion itself than the procedure.

When you are lying in bed in the morning, after a supposed good night's sleep, and your foot hurts, something's wrong. My husband, after hearing my complaints, took charge and did all the research, both on the Internet and by calling other physicians. I recently had foot surgery to fix a bunion and rotated pinky toe which I have suffered from for many years. I have seen a few podiatrists in the past, all of whom were cranky and had unpleasant bedside manners so I never felt comfortable with them and would not let them do the surgery.
I looked in the Yellow Pages and found Dr Hendizadeh! I was impressed, he was not like any of the other podiatrists that I had visited in the past.
He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He examined my feet thoroughly and handled my feet gently and with such care.
Dr Hendizadeh did the surgery on my foot and it has been very successful. Before and after the surgery he took the time to explain things and always has the time to answer any questions. Dr Hendizadeh called me personally the day after the surgery to check in and make sure I was doing okay. He and his office staff are amazing. The after surgery care instructions they gave me were very clear and detailed and made my recovery easier. Dr. Hendezadeh and his office staff made even the experience of surgery pleasant. They really make a wonderful team.
My son is also a patient of Dr Hendizadeh and he commented to me recently that the office staff is so friendly and welcoming. They truly do go above and beyond. For example, I was speaking to the receptionist,Constantina, that the route that I was taking from work seemed like the long way around, then, without me asking she printed out Google Maps directions from my work place to their office. I drove it this past Tuesday and it cut my travel time almost in half.

I had been suffering from the most unsightly toenails for 30 years. I tried so many different creams, lotions, and even took Lamasil and Sporonox many years ago. Nothing ever really worked. My nails looked marginally better. I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Hendizadeh after reading an article in a local magazine about Patholase Pinpointe Laser system for Nail Fungus.
