Vanessa T. Barrow, DPM, ATC, AACFAS

A native of Houston, TX, Dr. Barrow set her sights to the mid-west as she earned her Bachelor of Athletic Training degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. After a serving as the athletic trainer for semi-professional football and high school sports in Houston, TX, she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the William M. Scholl School of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL.

During her residency training at West Houston Medical Center, Dr. Barrow became well experienced with surgical reconstruction of the foot and ankle. Her other training includes wound care management, limb salvage, diabetic foot care, and sports medicine. Dr. Barrow has also had additional training in surgical reconstruction of pediatric deformities at the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Barrow relocated to Connecticut with her husband, Dr. Alvin J. Barrow, a general practitioner, in July of 2008 where she joined Associated Podiatrists of North Haven and Fairfield. Dr. Barrow has also recently achieved her board qualification status with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. We are very fortunate and excited to have Dr. Barrow and look forward to many happy successful years of practice together.
